Reaching out

Adventure Journal Songs About Mountains
A silent cry wails from within, deep
Zest for emotional liberty, from distress
A dream of warm tenderness, asleep
A quest for hope amid loneliness
Wanting to be on a bright new path
In the wake of darkness’ aftermath
Wishing for a reassuring hand
To help me cross this rocky land
I reach out in spirit and character
Yet I fear, I’ll hang on to life, so dear
Still somehow my inner-self speaks
Ushering, cajoling me to the peak
Beyond this monolith lies lots of ray
I am in the shadows but only for today
Ray of hope just over the top, I pray
As I trudge on faith guides my way
So much love I bear inside, no end
Kind and warm as I am but I’m in appeal
The beset rocky paths along have hurt me
But my feet, shall heal through my zeal
After darkness comes light
After the rains come shine
After pain comes delight
Life’s as precious as is divine
