Blue is her world

Memories of Hawaii by Claudia Tremblay
She sits alone, her thoughts far away
dressed elegantly, her dark hair flows
Lost in thoughts her mind strays
what she’s thinking only she knows
For she is in sorrow, she feels empty
yet she smiles and her charms glow
Her heart’s lonely, with empathy
she feels locked-up her eyes show
I can’t help but be lured by her beauty
she looks so innocent, so illuminating
Her radiance is like sunlight so hearty
wished I share her warmth so pulsating
I feel so helpless at times, I’m sad
for I want to tell her she’s not alone
Yet I am not able to, but if I had
she’ll not be cold, lost as a stone
She loves the colour blue, she’s too
and black as if they were made for her
But cast upon her milky skin they’ll do
justice to deep shades, beautiful together
There’ll come a day when she’ll be free
like a bird flying in the sky, up high
I wish she’ll be what she wants to be
and see her smile happily, no sigh
For I know I’ll be happy when she is
I know life would be kind and nice
But until then she lives like this
shedding a tear every once or twice
May God embrace this fragile flower
cuddling with his love to warm her
For he’s the mighty glorious endower
shedding his holy light now and forever
